• Class room discussion of the duties of a Deputy Coroner, from the notification call, the response to the scene, initial investigation, death notification to next of kin, inventory of property, toxicology (warning: graphic pictures).
• Walking tour of the office, from the autopsy rooms, investigations areas, state regional training rooms, intake and freezer storage areas.
• Hands-on practicum: Training area set up like storefront windows with death scenes inside, student must determine the cause of death based on the clues in the room.
