Designing P&E Training to Reduce the Risk of Errors
4 hour session with working lunch
GOALS:
Introduction to errorless training, the science behind how we learn, train and teach. P&E units are expected to perform with 100% accuracy every time they handle the items in their care and control. How do we construct efficient, effective and accurate teams that are flexible, resilient and responsive as well as have problem solving skills?
Digging Deeper: How does learning and retention occur? It’s not as simple as the “say it- do it” model that we grew up with; In fact, how people learn has changed as our technology has advanced. What does the millennial brain have to do with it?
What are asset and deficit based team building philosophies and how do they affect your office and team? In this segment, we will dissect what are the most important assets we have in our everyday workforce.
The art of gathering data, creating a plan, and then shaping behavior is fun and allows managers to create a responsive, durable and efficient training process.
Breakdown: in our mini sessions, we will practice then learn – discuss- do processes, as we build a training plan for your team.
- 1 hour lecture on the process of creating change (got data?)
- 1 hour creating the hierarchy of training needs based on your divisional demands and workforce
- 1 hour discussion and breakouts on creating a training procedure document, policies, and effective training plans
- 1 hour discussion on teaching methods and practical exercises in breakout groups
