The San Diego Regional Crime Laboratory will provide presentations from the Firearms Analysis Unit and the Fire Debris and Explosives Unit, highlighting evidence examination processes and casework examples. This training offers a unique opportunity to observe the types of evidence encountered and analyzed through real case investigations.

Attendees will also gain valuable insight into the services available through the County, including firearm operability testing, laboratory recommendations, IBIS submissions, and other operational aspects of forensic laboratory work. The presentations will enhance understanding of evidence handling, analysis capabilities, and the collaborative role these units play in supporting criminal investigations.
